About

Welcome to The Fresh Cottage!

I am your everyday, busy mother of two teenage vegetarians and a meat loving husband who recognizes the need to live greener and eat healthier!

As much as I understand the benefits of living green, I know it is not always practical or feasible for each of us. This blog is my attempt to show the average person that taking care of ourselves, our children and each other is possible while also remaining conscious of our responsibilities to our environment and the planet. I hope to show you that with a little planning and creativity you can create a healthier home for you and your family.

Please join me in The Fresh Cottage as I share my favorite healthy recipes, sample natural products and introduce you to wonderful places around our nation that are committed to making this world a better place for all of us.

Our doors are always open at The Fresh Cottage. Put your feet up, get comfortable and stay for awhile.

  4. Hi! Found your blog via Alexis’. What a beautiful blog you have! I will return for some inspiration as I’m gravitating to a less meat diet.

    • Vanessa,

I look forward to having you visit the fresh cottage in the near future. Good luck on your meatless goal. I took “baby steps” in the beginning.

      Cheers! Ashley
